The Friends of The Light House is a non-profit organization founded in support of The Light House, a homeless prevention support center, located at 10 Hudson Street in Annapolis.

We are a community-based 501(c)3 charitable organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds to support The Light House.

Through corporate sponsorship and fundraising events, the Friends of  The Light House is able to provide volunteer and financial support to The Light House and enable the staff to provide much needed service to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and most in need.

In addition to Bountiful Harvest, we host GumboFest, Taste of The Towne Centre and Fashion Show, a Golf Tournament, the Annapolis Run for The Light House, Clays for A Cause and a Pumpkin Patch.

Since our inception, The Friends have raised $1,098,450 for The Light House, through June of 2015!

With your support, the Friends Of The Light House Shelter will continue to be able to provide support to the Light House and enable its staff to provide much-needed services to the citizens of Anne Arundel County. The Light House relies upon 91% if its funds from private support.

Fundraisers sponsored by the Friends Of The Light House, including Bountiful Harvest, provide much needed funds, which help house and transition residents. In addition to the basic needs of food, shelter and clothing, it is imperative to provide the residents the opportunity to acquire employment skills.

Through The Light House's B.E.S.T. ( Building Employment Success Training) program, clients of the shelter can participate in a training program, furthering the goal of transition. We cannot accomplish this without support like yours, which enlivens as it creates a chain reaction of generosity.
