The Friends of The Light House is a non-profit organization founded in support of The Light House, a homeless prevention support center, located at 10 Hudson Street in Annapolis.
We are a community-based 501(c)3 charitable organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds to support The Light House.
Through corporate sponsorship and fundraising events, the Friends of The Light House is able to provide volunteer and financial support to The Light House and enable the staff to provide much needed service to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and most in need.
In addition to Bountiful Harvest, we host GumboFest, Taste of The Towne Centre and Fashion Show, a Golf Tournament, the Annapolis Run for The Light House, Clays for A Cause and a Pumpkin Patch.
Since our inception, The Friends have raised $1,098,450 for The Light House, through June of 2015!

The Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center helps rebuild lives with compassion by providing shelter and services to prevent homelessness and empower people as they transition toward employment, housing and self-sufficiency.
In 2015, our staff, with the help of over 1,400 volunteers who donated over 11,000 hours of time, provided transitional and supportive housing to 200 adults and children. 82% of our residential clients leave the Light House empowered with housing solutions, increased income, and improved life skills and our 13% recidivism rate is significantly lower than the national average of 40-60%.
In addition to housing assistance, The Light house offers many other vital services to our neighbors in need.
